Photographer's Note

So this is it - the main temple as seen from across the pond at Angkor Wat on a humid February evening. The temple is a national symbol for Cambodia, appearing on everything from their flag to their currency. For a nation whose modern history is dotted with wars and disasters, these ancient ruins are a tenuous connection to a glorious past and a source of national pride while the people struggle to rebuild their nation.
