Sugar palm tapper, a photo from Kandal, West

Photographer's Note

This photo was taken in the compound of the Prek Takong Temple, where there was a religious complex, a school and some habitations.

I was walking around when I saw a man climbing a sugar palm tree to extract the sap from the inflorescence which after fermentation will be transformed into palm wine.

Ehee...ne ho fatta una quasi uguale a Cuba (non l'ho pubblicata).Questo estrae mentre il mio coglieva le noci di cocco per i turisti,il tuo e' sicuramente piu'...vero e naturale..hehe...perfetta luce per cogliere al meglio colori e dettagli! Buona serata e complimenti,Luciano

Mi piace quest'immagine in cui l'uomo si districa tra le foglie delle palme.

nice the snapshot with the man on the palm tree to collect the sap of it.I like the good reportage shot as i did not know about the collection and the use of the sap as next be transformed into palm wine.

Il est intйressant de voir ce nouvel aspect de l'activitй locale, et cette faзon originale de faire "la vendange" pour un peu de vin de palme. la photo est spectaculaire, le cadrage est agrйable et йquilibrй. la lumiиre, les couleurs et la nettetй sont excellentes. Bravo.
