Oma and child, a photo from Chittagong, South

Not be able to travel gives me the opportunity and time to look through my archives and find photos to reprocess. This is one that I really like.

During our 7 day trek in the Chittagong Hill Tracts we mostly stayed in the villages with a family. Here, we see the grandmother with one of her grandchildren. She looks after the children while the younger women are at work in the fields. These are Khumi people, one of the many ethnic groups in this region.

Hi Elaine,

A superb dual portrait of the mother and her baby. Or possibly the grandmother? Yes, your note confirms her as the grandmother. The weathered lines in the old woman's face are well captured here. Tfs!

Hello Elaine,
After so many years in archives, this wonderful photo can be admired to TE members. It is a wonderful double portrait of a grandmother with her grandson. I like how this little boy peeks out over the woman's shoulder. Another plus is that it comes from a country that is rarely shown here.
Great quality photo shown as well as colors, light and sharpness.

Hello Elaine, the lighting was perfect for this portrait and we see the catchlight in their eyes.
The woman has a lovely expression on her face whilst the baby looks straight at you, probably wondering what that object is in front of your face!!

Charming grandmother and child portrait. Side angle works especially well here, and actually it was the only option on this case. Light is just perfect.

Hello Elaine, I also look at my old photos with pleasure. A fantastic jewel in your archive. I like the double portrait of the grandma and the child. At first, we see beautiful light and attractive dark background, later we notice interesting ear decoration.

Another amazing portrait! It's like an old Dutch masters' painting.
I also went to the Chittangong Hills to visit various tribes. Incredible place.
