Photographer's Note

It's early in a winter morning. I was in Chittagong Railway Station to pass time as I had nothing to do. I saw lot of homeless people sleeping inside the empty rail compartments. Here, one kid is still sleeping while another is talking with other, outside of the compartment.

Its a very common scene in developing countries. Though, Railway police is a constant problem to these homeless people, they dont have any other choice to make room for night.

I passed two nights in the platform of Delhi Railway Station and saw the same thing.

i think you've got an excellent picture here Wahid. As you realize, your one problem is the over exposure in the windows. That is hard to deal with but you could try using a slightly faster exposure with a fillin flash. I like youre picture and it obviously deserves more points. Is it a scan?

Super, I love this photo and the accompanying note (saw the same type of sleepers many times, specially in railway stations in India), but you took this one specially well (the framing, the viewpoint) - I'll add it to my favorites !

Hello Wahid,

Nice shot! Yes, it is overexposed but that makes it more interesting to me because of the short rhythm created by the juxtaposition of solid and void, darkness and light. Framing and composition is great.

I wonder why so few critiques for such a nice capture!
