Riedenburg is a small town located in the heart of Bavaria, right between Munich and Nuremberg. The Riedenburg, which stretches on either bank of the Altmühl valley, can rightly be called "The Pearl of the Lower Altmühl Valley". This little town has the three castles. One of them is called the "Rosenburg" which dates back to the 13th century. Today the castle hosts museums which show, beside many other interesting things from the past, the largest crystal of the world and the "Falkenhof" (falcon house).
The town has a very welcoming feel to it, owing to its brightly painted house facades.
