Wonderful shot, Marc. Your subject has a nice, natural expression and the reflective light in her eyes is very captivating. Great framing, and you have selected a good neutral background that does not distract the viewer's attention. Superb sharpness. Thanks for sharing.

I can get an understanding on how those people live in that heat, but it has always been difficult to get how Europeans survive in it. Especially their cameras :)
A curious face. I especially like how that black lacework adds her a "carmen" look.

J'ai l'habitude de la chaleur, mais 55°а l'ombre...c'est trop ;)
Portrait trиs rйussi de cette jolie bйninoise! son foulard de dentelle me fait un peu penser а la mantille espagnole. Le bleu de sa robe accroche le regard et contraste bien avec le reste...
Dans ses yeux brillants, on pourrait presque apercevoir le photographe!

Bonjour Marc,

J ai connu 45°, mais pas 55°. Je veux bien croire que c etait ecrasant. Une chaleur a ne plus bouger.
Un tres beau portrait que tu as reussi ici. La lumiere met vraiment en valeur les teintes de la peau et j apprecie beaucoup les brillances du regard. La profondeur de champs a ete bien choisi: l arriere plan est flou et la nettetй bonne sur tout le buste.
Tu deviens experimentй sur les portraits.

This is a very compelling portrait, so much details, good emotion and expressive face. the dark eyes so engaging and glistening with moisture almost like tear, you can see so much reflection in them, if you zoom in on them I bet you can see the reflection of yourself in them. Excellent Marc. My complements.

Bonjour, Marc. L'arriиre-plan beige permet aux couleurs des vкtements de bien ressortir. Le cadrage lйgиrement dйcentrй me plaоt bien. Excellente nettetй surtout avec 55° а l'ombre. Il ne fallait pas que le doigt glisse sur le dйclencheur...

Hi Marc.

Another great portrait from west Africa.
You can see the heat emanating from her skin. The colours of her clothing make such a great combination with her skin colour. Her eyes have a far-away look, as well as showing the effect of this heat - but maybe she is used to it. I think the photographer might be reflected in those eyes - have you enlarged this one to check it out? Anyway, it's a superb portrait, with very pleasing proportions and marvellous clarity and detail.

Bonjour Marc,
Tu as eu l'occasion de faire de superbes portraits pendant ton voyage au Benin. Celui-ci en fait partie.
La couleur de la robe est йclatante et contraste parfaitement avec le voile sombre de la dame.
La chaleur йtait йcrasante et pourtant elle ne semble pas affecter ton modиle, qui reste parfaitement йlйgante.

Excellent portrait ou le regard intense et soutenu de ton sujet nous garde cloue devant l'ecran. La pose, le cadrage, la lumiere, l'exposition et l'expression sont au top. Je ne vois vraiment pas comment quelqu'un pourrait faire mieux.

L'avantage de ces 55°, c'est que tu peux etre certain que ton sujet ne se sauvera pas en courant... :-P)

Un bien beau portrait avec une qualitй rare parmi les photos d'Afrique sur TE. J'aime beaucoup les couleurs, j'admire la nettetй qui met particuliиrement bien le grain de la peau en valeur. Les contrastes sont splendides. L'expression aussi est envoыtante. Une Esmйralda bйninoise, en quelque sorte... Le regard brillant et la mantille en attestent! Tu me donnes l'idйe de crйer un thиme sur les Esmeralda! Je vais faire зa dans la foulйe : cette photo y figurera, bien sыr.

Elle ne semble pas souffrir de la chaleur.
Portrait parfaitement cadrй, les points forts c'est l'oeil droit en opposition avec le rabattement de la coiffe sur l'йpaule, зa capte l'oeil.
