Photographer's Note

This is my 49th post from Greece and my next photo will be my 600th post.
But don't be wrong: the next one will be Cocolandia!!!

Well, I wanted to come back to Folegandros.
You must know cats are very usual in the old streets of these islands and villages. They are everywhere and some of them are used to visitors. And they look really cute.

These animals, the cats; these colours, the white and blue; and also these people, like this old woman. They make a wonderful map of colours and life.
These people is really kind with the visitors and I remember very well how this old woman saw me with the cat and said to me "Fernando". It was the name of the cat!!!
Then she pointed the camera and said to the cat: "Look there".

These moments could be very simple... and somehow they are. But I think I love these magical moments.
If you can do that and avoid the false moments and holidays. If you can, be among these people and not among waiters who wait turists.

Bien compuesta y con una buena dosis de saturacion de colores.

Un angulo de tiro incomodo, me imagino, pero al que le has sacado un provecho enorme.

La buena disposicion de los protagonistas, es estupenda, centrando la atencion en la lente en un momento muy, pero muy oportuno.

Hi, Carlos. A very nice close-up. The cat looks like a good model ;o) staring straight at the camera and the old lady is a very good tamer. I like her finger pointing to the camera and the nice diagonal line linking her to her cat. She's got a very nice wrinkled face. Cats are often seen on Greek islands and we also have the traditional blue colour that reminds us of Greece. A very nice humorous shot.

It is a wonderful moment captured! Sure it is worth taking even though you had to be so close to floor, result is so lovely.
That cute lady, pointing camera for Fernando looks so friendly. It is also interesting that Fernando understood her and looked where she pointed. Cats and owners have a strange communication...

La habнa vista ya varias veces pero siempre habнa pensado que una foto tan buena no podнa haberla dejado sin comentar. Ahora he visto que sн, que no la habнa comentado y vengo a corregir este error. En fin, їquй puedo decir que no se haya dicho,o que se haya dicho? La foto es fantбstica; el punto de vista original y el gato un animal, ademбs de bonito, muy cooperativo en esta foto. Lo que mбs me gusta es el entendimiento, la comunicaciуn que existe entre la anciana y el gato. Supongo que la foto fue algo de reflejos, que saliу sin buscarla. Eso le aсade much mбs expontaneidad.

I love cats, all of them - I think they are the most beautiful and elegant animals on earth.
this shot... is one of the most original shots with cats I have seen on these pages. the old lady and the cat both looking at you... the cat's eyes... the old woman's finger pointing at the camera... splendid!
