Locks of love, a photo from Florence, Tuscany

Photographer's Note

All along the Ponte Vecchio Bridge, you can find hundreds of padlocks that have been placed in various places. Legend has it that if lovers attach a padlock to any surface of the famous bridge and then throw away the key into the Arno River below, their love will last forever :-).

Nice framing and small DOF to enhance the lock and its message, while we can see all the blurred locks filling the frame of your picture.

A beautiful photo of this famous landmark, a great detail shot not often seen up close in this way. The selective depth of field chosen shows off the intended lock of interest very well. The soft muted background makes the subjects here stand out very well. A nice, quirky find.
