Within Astrakhan Kremlin, a photo from Astrakhan, Volga

Photographer's Note

On that day when I was to Astrakhan, I had to visit Astrakhan Kremlin several times till the sun appeared and I was able to capture these two architectural monuments of 21 of them there.

The two buildings are the Assumption Cathedral built in 1698 – 1710 and the cathedral's bell tower with Prechistinsky Gate built in 1908 – 1912.

Hello Sergiy,
A great use of colors and light. The deep depth of field is perfect. A well presented crop allows eyes to remain fixed on the kremlin. This is a really excellent photo, and is a good example of architectural mode. The great light on the kremlin and the blue-gray sky color in the background also lends a lovely contrast to the scene. I would never have guessed this photo was taken in Russia. I was going to guess Romania or something similar.
what a strange clock tower on the left! so tall and yet the bottom portion seems so out of size!
but i love it for what it is and how it presents in the photo. very interesting architecture in russia.

A great composition of stunning beauty, the two buildings are very beautiful and POV is great, the whiteness of the walls creates a nice chromaticism with green domes, is a magnificent work, with good sharpness and brightness. I love is style buildings.

Hello Sergiy,
This is an exceptionally beautiful building and a very well composed picture. The white, green and gold looks fantastic against the dark sky, especially with the very good light shining on the faзades. The lawn in the foreground matches the cupolas nicely and the benches underscore the diagonal emphasis of the composition. Even the yellow car is important for the composition, just for once, and I also appreciate the two persons to the left in red shirts. They are small but still add something.
