Hamlet of Kharkov on Stavropol Upland, a photo from Stavropol, North Caucasus

Photographer's Note

This is the Kharkovskiy Hamlet belonging to municipality of the Village of Alexandrovskoe in Alexandrovskiy District of Stavropol Kray. Along my track this was the most northern point where the first evidences of my approach to the Caucasus Mountains were seen. These evidences were the rocky hills which you can see in the background. The first real mountain, Zmeyka, is at the distance of around 50 km from Alexandrovskoe. It is believed that from the tops of the hills, the Mount Elbrus can be seen at good weather conditions.

Very pleasing composition with the field of sunflowers in the foreground giving the eye a good lead towards the distant hamlet.
A pity though it is slightly overexposed.

Fields of sunflowers give very good game in the picture, this picture is superb with details of several large flowers in the foreground and a fabulous view of the plantation, the tree line, and hill background to give a superb DOF composition.

this kind of plantation isn't so usual in my region (where you can find most of cultivations ), nice image showing the marvelous flowers against the green slope that looks some we have in my homeland too. TFS.
