Photographer's Note

Watching the last sun rays on the mighty Mekong river near Vientiane, is most enjoyable. In the dry season the slow flowing river dries up considerably exposing long patch of sandbar. It's a fascinating place to sit alone, relax by the bank and soak up the atmosphere while watching the sun gradually sinks beyond the distant shore in Thailand.

Setting: 24 mm, 1/60 sec, F11, ISO Raw 200, 1740 hrs & GND filter

Hello Abmdsudi, a well composed picture with the two boats on a diagonal line from the corner, leading the eyes towards the lovely glow on the water and then to the round ball that is the sun.
The colours are subtle and delightful.
Just enough light in the foreground to illuminate the details of the boats.

Your photograph is full of atmosphere.
The smoothness of the river, the warmth of the colours in the sky and on the water, the boats quietly beached, makes a scene oozing calmness and tranquility.

The long boats were good features to use as f/g guides in your fine composition.
