Photographer's Note

Las Fallas, as most fully-fledged parties have their cry, their official announcement: This is the Crida, means "The Call" in Valencian.

This act is the official start of the party, and the first that is an excuse to give vent to the anxieties of the fallas.

Thousands of citywide falleros come to the meeting the Torres de Serranos. They come together, each with his standard commission identity, pending the speech of the mayor of Valencia and the largest faller in Valencia. Throughout the afternoon, the Fallas, most with smock (the informal Valencian costume) and some with costumes, ride the fun singing, dancing, playing instruments and giving free rein to the imagination ... fuss is mounting chaos and fun.

When the time of the speech, appearing on a scaffold mounted on the door of the tower, the higher Courts of Honor and child, the larger Fallas in Valencia, the mayor of the city and other local dignitaries.

The first thing they do is expect the public to be quiet, not an easy thing for another faller lado.Luego the largest and the mayor made speeches to encourage outside Valencia and to participate in the upcoming failures.

When the speeches were just giving way to regional hymn singing all present. The emotional highlight of the event without a doubt.

It all ends with a nice fireworks display that is fired from the River Turia.
