Circular Quay, a photo from New South Wales, East

Photographer's Note

I was a bit surprised that I didn't find quite this PoV from TE gallery. Circular Quay is the hub of Sydney's ferry network. Connections range from Manly on the northeast to Parramatta towards west up the Parramatta river. One of my favourite things to do in Sydney is to take a ride on a rear sundeck of these ferries and enjoy views and salty splashes. And as they are part of Sydney's public transport network, it is quite affordable too.

Hi Kari,
Great shot of Circular Quay. Looks like the ferry Freshwater entering the terminal. Have you been to the O Bar & Restaurant in Australia Square it is peeping out from behind the rectangular building with it's revolving floor that takes one and a half ours to fully rotate giving a great view of Sydney and beyond.

A very fine skyline and an interesting cityscape. All colours here are strong and well saturated. This must have been a beautiful summer day!

Hi Kari,

The distance to the pier is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and the colours of the highrise buildings. The good luminosity is bringing out the colours. Have a nice day.

Hi Kari,

This brings back some memories, we lived in Greenwich 1980's and my wife used to commute over the water on one of these ferry's.
We have always said it was like living in the countryside and a fifth teen minute by ferry to the hustle and bustle of the City.

too bad there weren't any clouds in the sky but thats sort of out of your control :)
