Fontana di Villa Votalarca - Spoleto

La bella fontana и adiacente al muro di cinta della villa, lato via Via delle Lettere, ed и probabilmente coeva alla stessa, realizzata nel XVIII secolo. Un tempo era pertinenza della villa ora si trova in un’altra proprietа.
L’acqua esce da una testa di satiro e il fondo della vasca di raccolta и in laterizio. Nella lunetta superiore и inserita una grande conchiglia. Sulla destra c’и una piccola vasca, forse un tempo v’era una fontanella.

Hello Silvio,
Even in its modern surroundings this fountain has lost none of its appeal. I like the oblique point of view and the light and shadow play. Have a great weekend.

J'apprйcie beaucoup cette belle tournйe des fontaines de villages . Celle-ci a connu des jours meilleurs mais elle garde encore tout son charme. Beau jeu d'ombre et de lumiиre.

The tree is helping to frame the scene. the point of view is showing the details of the fountain and of the house. The light is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

Je suis ravi а travers vos prises de vue, chaque fois, vous nous faites dйcouvrir des trйsors, dont cette fontaine а l'ornementation trиs travaillйe avec la reprйsentation de la coquille St Jacques.
C'est triste de voir de tels objets laissйs а l'abandon.

these old water fountains are excellent subjects for posting aren't they! I like this angle you took it on, we can clearly see its age and destruction its faced. good to have some clouds in the sky to soften up the scene too, lovely light and focus. cheers

lovely this fountain. I liked its shapes and adornments. a pity is is abandoned and that colorful building at side broke the medieval mood. I liked the use of the nude branches here too.

this place looks so different depending on the light conditions!
Very pleasant long shades here. Nice sky.
The area looks quite rough and damaged here but it adds a lot to the mood.
