En route to Phalut, a photo from West Bengal, East

Photographer's Note

The route between Sandakphu (12000 ft) to Phalut (12200 ft) offers the best panoramic views of the Himalayas. Indeed, if the weather is clear one can gain fantastic views of the worlds highest and third-highest mountain: Mt. Everest to the West and Mt. Khanchenjunga to the North. This trekking-route is well established with guesthouses for every overnight. On the stretch between Sandakhpu and Phalut trekkers will cross through the Singelela Nationalpark which offers habitat for many endangeres species, indlcuding the Red Panda. Besides many kinds of birds we have come across wolfes and tiger cats in this area.

Hi Lopshang,
I can't believe this hasn't received any critiques yet, I think this shot is fantastic! The beautiful colours of the foreground foliage and then such depth on a clear day to give us a perfect view of the Himalayas in the background. Stunning shot, and I like the wide panoramic view.

This is a fantastic landscape. I like the first plan and its color. It gives all its dimention to the mountains. May be a little bit more of contrast ?
But nethertheless it is a very nice shot.

A beautiful landscape framing the most majestic mountains on this globe!
The framing is well done, excellent colours and sharp fine details...
The special vegetation makes a fine colour contrast the the summits in a distance..!

Hi Lopshang,
It is amazing shot of the Himalayas. You were very lucky to have wonderful weather to enjoy that fantastic mountains' view. I like the presentation with bushes in red foliage in the foreground and when the eyes go farther landscape change through forest to snowy summits.
