A red sunset taken from the beach of Saint-Georges de Didonne in Charente-Maritime... a photo capture and almost a capture in the net of this typical "carrelet" of this area!

Toutes mes fйlicitations pour cette 500иme des plus rйussies. C'est vrai que l'on a l'impression que le soleil va se loger dans l'йpuisette. C'est trиs bien fait et les reflets sur le sabled sont magnifiques.

The close-up view was fantastic, Jean, and this is also very good, here you have reflections as a bonus, vertical frame working so well. Congratulations, 500 is an impressive number, I'm still struggling to reach 200... :)

trиs belle 500iиme,j'espиre qu'il y en aura encore beaucoup d'autres!J'aime le soleil qui semble lйviter au dessus du carrelet,et sa couleur orange qui donne un superbe contraste avec le paysagegris de fin de journйe.J'aime aussi les reflets oranges dans le sable striй du premier plan.C'est beau,c'est super bien cadrй,et l'idйe etait bien jolie et te souhaite une bonne soirйe.

Wow, great shot! The sun is captured perfectly here as a glorious orange ball, and the reflection on the wet beach contributes to the amazing colour. The refelction of the sun also tends to match the vertical relfection of the lighthouse on the right. Great shot and congratulations on 500!

Aprиs cette superbe photo le soleil a fait le grand saut pour ce retrouver dans le filet du carrelet. Une fois de plus tu as saisi un magnifique moment et en bonus tu as rйussi а nous cadrer le reflet, j'aime beaucoup.

Cette boule qui va tomber dans son panier n'est pas ta premiere mais c'est certainement la mieux cadrйe. Alors fйlicitation pour ta 500иme. C'est un йvиnement qui devrait m'arriver en fin Janvier йgalement. C'est toujours un plaisir que de regarder et commenter les bonnes photos.

Etant un peu moins assidue sur TE depuis quelques semaines, je me rends compte que j'ai laissй passer ta 500e. Je me rattrape donc ce soir en te fйlicitant trиs chaleureusement pour ce nouveau cap atteint. Tu marques bien le coup avec cette splendide image. J'aime beaucoup la maniиre dont tu as placй la grosse boule ronde du soleil juste au dessus du filet de pкche et le reflet sur le sable humide qui dйcoupe ce mкme soleil en petites rondelles.

About this photo, it's a good continuation of your tryies to fish the sun with a fisherman net.
Love the view of the 'great ball of fire' just above the net seeming to be ready to ba trapped and caught, the low light and the lighthouse complete superbly this very nice photo.

C'est un coucher de soleil magnifique, avec une lumiиre et quelques trиs belles couleurs, un cadrage excellent et un bon format vertical.
L'effet du soleil qui semble tomber а l'intйrieur d'un panier a un grand effet optique, et j'aime la verticalitй du phare qui ajoute un bon graphisme а la composition.

I had missed this two year old gem hanging in your gallery. Every aspect of the image is ideal — from the composition, to the interest factor, from the colors to the resolution. The large drooping net at the end of the pierre appears to be a receptacle to catch the falling sun. Well done!

Une bien belle rйalisation pour ta 500и!
La seule note de couleur dans cette photo est le soleil couchant et son reflet dans les ondulations du sable!
Le contraste est parfait avec les silhouettes sombres du fond et les couleurs d'argent ou de bronze de la mer et du sable! Les mкmes couleurs se retrouvent dans la mer et le ciel!
C'est vraiment un chef-d'oeuvre rйussi!

belle photo, la, pour ta 500 eme, tu a fait fort, dйjа habituй a tes jolies photos, et tu arrive encore a me surprendre par le choix de tes POV qui donne a ta photo un air de travail de studio, tu vois comme dans un film, " le soleil un peu a gauche, le reflet plus en avant etc.
Ces ordres donnй par un excellent metteur en scиne qui orchestre sa faзon de voir la nature, sa faзon de la crйer, sa faзon de nous la montrer.

Hi, Jean,

This is a delightful image, which frequently appears among the "featured photo" thumbnails when I turn to your overview page.

I think the whimsy you exhibit with the sun and the net are terrific.

The photo has a wonderful "thirds" character. The lower third shows us the interesting reflection of the sun and the lighthouse on the rippled wet sand; the middle third showing the water with a nice wave form and a small sea bird; and the most impressive upper third, with the lighthouse and the sun.

This really is a beautiful scene, and what an image it creates. The lighthouse on iT own is beautiful, but with the setting sun and eye reflections, it's superb. Great choice of frame too, which suits it perfectly. I really like how the fishing nets look like they are reaching into the sun itself,
