Forgotten Ruins, a photo from Minas Gerais, Southeast

Photographer's Note

The Nossa Senhora do Rosбrio dos Pretos Church began to be built in 1768 by the black slaves. Today we can see its ruins, which adorn one of the main squares of the historical center of Sabarб, town which borders the state capital Belo Horizonte. Everytime I see it, it's being restored, I hope they finish it one day.

The trees and the houses are framing well the ruins. The point of view is showing with precision the detals and colors of the ruins of the old church. The luminosity is making the colors of the church to stand out. Have a nice day.

acho que se depender da boa vontade polнtica nгo fica pronta nunca, e uma coisa muito mais fбcil que poderiam fazer era tirar os chatos e burros vagabundos que falam um monte de asneiras decoradas sobre a Igreja e qualquer outra atraзгo turнstica da cidade. Bela foto essa.

Muy buena imagen de las ruinas de esta iglesia con un buen color y una calidad de imagen que permite ver todas las texturas y detalles.
Es una pena que no se restauren estos edificios y darles un destino social, pues con su antiguedad creo que son una seсa de identidad para estas poblaciones y su historia.

Аs vezes, um monumento em ruнnas pode ser mais significativo do que o mesmo ricamente restaurado. Acho interessante o prйdio da forma como ele estб, onde se podem perceber alguns detalhes construtivos.

Parece que sabarб vai ficar famosa. O Lucas postou tambйm uma foto da regiгo. Bonita foto dessas ruнnas as nuvens e o muro branco fizeram um sanduiche de tijolos. Uma pena terem deixado a igreja chegar a esse estado. Mas ruinas tambйm sгo atrativas.

I find myself with an affinity for antique churches and ruins of all sorts, especially while traveling. We probably see the inside of more churches on vacation than we do the entire rest of the year combined...

This is a nice one, too, an antique church and a ruin combined, so it would be a favorite of mine, too. It kind of reminds me of the church that Clint Eastwood and his troops were in during the end of the movie "Hamburger Hill".

Nicely shot and presented to us - perfect geometry, no lens distortion at all. Almost like being there.

the forgotten ruins have always a special charm, although I have enough of them already: in Ireland there is almost nothing to photograph except for ruins...
But your ruins are different they seem colorful, they have used apparently different rock colors and it makes a really nice surface of the walls...

Hi Fabiano, difficult shot. I am not sure for the original but this surely has a lot of noise in the rocks. You managed well the other noise around the building but a little noise-reduction should do just fine in the building.

Restoration can take a long time if you like to do it authentically. Moreover it can be costly and it depends the budget what they have got. You did not have the best day for the photograph, but it shows the monument very clearly. However it looks like that nobody is working. Well done

Tu as trиs bien capturй ce superbe bвtiment. Les couleurs sont splendides sur ces vielles pierres aux couleurs de rouille et de mousse.

esta vieja iglesia merece ser retaurada totalmente, espero que algъn dнa estй acabada. Pero mientras tanto, sus ruinas nos regalan una bella arquitectura que resulta muy fotogйnica al superponerla sobre el cielo y las nubes, destacando su geometrнa.
Me gusta el ligero contrapicado, la luminosidad y la calidad cromбtica.
