ÔÎÒÎÃÐÀÔÈÈ

This is the 3th floor of the abandoned elementery school in Prypiat. Prypiat is an abandoned city in near Kiev, Ukraine. This city was evacuated in 1986 following the nuclear disaster that occured in the Chernobyl powerplant. Everything in Prypiat was left behind and not much people have visited the contaminated city since the disaster.

This photo was taken on the third floor of the elementery school. Due to cleaning operations, loothing and tourists the place is a total chaos. What is left of the place is an old ruin filled with rusty tables and chairs, and.. vegetation! On every floor there were plants growing everywere. On the second floor there was even a small tree growing inside the building! As you can see, I have edited the colours of this photo, I made it B/W except for the vegetation to make some sort of highlight of a new beginning.
