Photographer's Note

Lenzburg Castle is is dominated by its high rock above the old town of Lenzburg in Argau, Switzerland. It is one of oldest and most important castles in Switzerland. The castle stands on the hill which rises approximately 100 m over the surrounding plain. The oldest parts of the castle date to the 11th century, when the Counts of Lenzburg built it as their seat. Today it houses the Historical museum of Aargau, which offers centuries of history of the castle and the area.
