Photographer's Note

I will not be original for my first photography posted on TE in 2009: the Mont Saint Michel.
If you know me a little, it's my favorite place (place of my origins ).
But this photo is original because it was taken yesterday morning with the rising sun and the weather was very cold (-5°C )or (23°F )

Amazing picture. The hill seems to rise out of the mist. The blue and purple hues look great and the composition, particularly with the ducks in the foreground, is very nice as well.

Hi Patrice,

OK, so the subject might not be super original but your interpretation certainly stands out among the pantheon of MSM images. I've not seen any with this softness of atmosphere. The fog and early winter morning colors are what do it I think. Those pinks and mauves before sunrise are unique to this season and the cold fog reflects it wonderfully. Quite a nice one to start out 2009.

Great to start off the year with your favourite place! It looks absolutely magical almost floating in this light and mist and with such beautiful soft tones. Love the birds on the water in the foreground too. Lovely!

Belle image du Mont nimbй de ciel rosвtre avec cette atmosphиre de petit matin brumeux et ces canards au premier plan. Je ne me lasse pas moi non plus de ce coin. Cа doit кtre зa qu'on appelle la nostalgie !!

Pas original peut-кtre mais une ambiance de toute beautй nйanmoins, des premiиres lueurs mauves а l'horizon, aux brumes de la baie en passant par les canards au 1er plan, c'est une trиs belle rйussite

peut-кtre une des plus belles photos du MSM qui m'a йtй donnй de voir ces derniers temps, les tons pastels , la lйgere brume donne une ambiance toute particuliere a cette photo .

On ressent le froid ici avec la ligne de brouillard qui sйpare l'eau et le mont. Gla Gla Gla
J'aime beaucoup le cadrage centrй et ce ciel d'une rose pastиle.
