Photographer's Note
Hotel Luxur in Las Vegas. We were booked to stay in a pyramid room but for some reason we were upgraded to a tower room - actually to the right but not in the photo. A free monorail links the Luxor to the 2 hotels either side, the Mandalay Bay and the Excalibor despite already being linked by walkways. This photo was taken in front of the Luxor monorail station.

L'hôtel Luxor à Las Vegas. La chambre réservée était située dans la pyramide mais pôur une raison inconnue nous avons reçu une chambre supérieure dans une tour située à droite (pas dans l'image). Un monorail gratuit relie le Luxor aux deux hôtels autour soit le Mandalay Bay, soit l'Excalibur malgré des passarelles les réliant. Cette image a été prise devant la station du monorail du Luxor.

aah Las Vegas...c'est vraiment super kitchouille...c'est Transformers Vs. Pharaons! Après Alien Vs. Predator, c'est le prochain blockbuster US! Chouette coup d'oeil amusant en tout cas...et un beau ciel polarisé!

this is very beautiful, but I believe that the original one is unbeatable, good job of the polarizer, to exalt the sky and the colors.

Hello Nikki,
Je vois que le choc des époques est bien présent à Las Vegas. Cette statue et cette affiche en arrière plan donne un curieux contraste architectural. Cette ville doit être assez surprenante !!

Bonjour Nikki,
Avec le polarisant, on dirait presque une image de nuit! Tu as fait sacrément péter les couleurs!
Je trouve par contre toujours aussi étrange cet étalage de culture de pacotille! Quelqu'un qui a vu un vrai temple égyptien ou la vraie tour Eiffel ne doit pas forcément aimer l'architecture du coin... Mais bon; c'est quand même mieux que le désert qu'il y avait ici il n'y a pas si longtemps!

C'est sûr, sous le ciel de Vegas les couleurs pêtent un max !
Je suis allé dans ce coin avant que la démesure ne prennent le pas, le vieux Strip était encore la vedette...
J'aimerai bien y refaire un tour.

Isn't Las Vegas the most incredibly vulgar and OTT place!!? But I think it is also a 'must see' for a short visit. Well framed and well exposed blue hour shot.
What luck with the room! Was it very luxurious?

the most kitchy place I've seen, I wonder what the poor Sphinx thinks of being placed right around the corner from New York's Grand Central Station, lol :)
the almost-purple sky adds to the surreal feel of the scene, and the clarity is beyond belief, perfect quality.

Excellent POV, and wow, what clarity, Often time the light in Las Vegas is brutal for photography in the middle of the day, but you did excellent here with the light. Love the deep blue of the sky and the colors of the statue and the paramid with the new Transformer movie. A great combination of historic and futuristic and they are all fake :) Visually, stunning image and great photophy work. Thanks. I have not been here in nearly 7 years except passing through to go to Utah.
