Photographer's Note
Another shot from colourful Kinsale in County Cork. Kinsale boasts the greatest concentration of restaurants in Ireland and has long been known as the Gourmet Capital of the country. Each year a food festival takes place and visitors can enjoy sampling fresh, locally produced products in one of the excellent restaurants.
This shot was taken outside the award winning restaurant the Shanghai Express. I can vouch for the quality of the food we ate in this friendly and relaxed restaurant.

Hello Rosemary,
Sounds just up my street! An excellent perspective that makes superb use of the brightly coloured façade in the foreground. The man makes an animated focal point; the dog tied to the bicycle is a bonus. Excellent colours and clarity. Happy Easter.

Hello, Rosemary,
Ha! Your photo reminds me The Hollywood Walk of Fame, where I've been 20 days ago. Excellent combination of the orange walls and clear blue sky on the background. Very attractive photo, well done!
Best wishes,

Hello Rosemary,
Nobody could overlook a photo with these colours. You composed this very well by standing so close to the bright orange wall, including the stars but also getting a good view along the street going up the hill. I like the inclusion of the dog, the man carrying two bags and the parked red car. I don't remember if there were any houses so brightly painted in Ireland in 1968, but the rest of the street further up the hill may have looked the same in those days. Whether there really were any "great places to eat" in 1968 would in any case have been beyond my budget to discover.
Kind regards and a Happy Easter,
Gert

Hello Rosemary ,
interesting composition and perspective , with this attractive orange facade and the stars on the right , and a more classical street scene on the left ;

Hi Rosemary,
A very fine picture, with two completely different parts. The left part is a very pleasant street scene and the right part a very strong red colour (with many stars!). An interesting note. I tried to find this street in the Google street view but could not find it. But this looks like a very pleasant town.
Kind regards

Hi Rosemary
Striking colors, really jumping off the screen! The stars are composed perfectly to make this a fascinating scene, and one that makes anybody want to click and see further. As Stephen mentioned above, the dog in the shot is a real bonus, he looks like he doesn't have a care in the world! The cobblestones add a nice lead into the deep scene too.
I could go for a nice Chinese right now come to think of it :)
Thanks as always
Noel

Ciao Rosemary

Hi Rosemary,
stunning orange color of the walls with the contrasty black stars totally grab attention. It's interesting that the other side of the perspective is very soft considering the color palette and with a relaxed feel thanks to that laid back dog:)Quite a juxtaposition to the energetic orange foreground. Lovely photo.
Happy Easter!

Ciao Rosemary
Saluti e buona Pasqua

hello Rosemary
Very appealing warm color on this wall, contrasting with the rather cold hues of the street. Good use of the wide angle to get a large portion of colored area.
Warm regards

Hello Rosemary,
very well chosen POV for this picture which nicely enhances the stars on the wall and makes them more prominent in the composition. I like some other details of the image, like the dog tied to the bicycle and waiting patiently for his master or the single pedestrian in the distance. Very good framing and lovely colors.
Thanks for sharing and enjoy your Easter!
Best wishes

Hello Rosemary,
oh isn`t this lovely,I`m not too sure that the Councils down here in sedate West Devon would welcome such gaudy paintwork but it is very eye catching.
Super sharp from front to back you have made excellent use of the wide angle lens to compose a very attractive shot.
The well placed bike and obedient dog along with the gent and his shopping all contribute to a delightful street scene.
A really pleasing photograph,love it.
Happy Easter,
Les.

Dear Rosemary
How things have changed in West Cork. Many years ago, I went out with a lovely lad from this area and the Chinese cuisine was such that you could still order a steak, egg and chips in the restaurant. So I'm delighted to hear how delicious the food is now. I like the bright orange tones, the graphism of Linda's stars and the perspective created by the converging lines of the road and building line. Excellent work, thanks for sharing.
Have a very Happy Easter!

Hello Rosemary
As a foodie I can certainly connect to this amazing shot. The orange of the pup is quite eye catching and you choose a truly ingenious perspective here. The little dog and the man walking up the street add some good and interesting details too. I might have cropped out the parked cars to the left though, but I am hairsplitting here.
have a great day

Hi Rosemary
for obvious reasons this photo jumped out at me on your gallery page, can you assume why? lol
its not too often we get to be splashed in the face with bright vivid orange colors!
the distortion effect of the stars reminds me of how the super wide angle does the same.
and oh my, Tosca would love to visit this place - she's a foodie :)
fun photo, i'll have to remember this place when we eventually travel here.
cheers

Fantastic shot! Beautiful POV with orange wall and the stars in the foreground! Also interesting is the urban with the dog tied to the back of the bike and the woman with shopping bags! I really like!

Hello Rosemary,
Well, if any picture on TE can be considered as having "impact" or "punch", it's this one!
A stunningly colourful photograph which just leaps out of the page or the monitor with fabulous colours and lovely light as well as incredible depth of field and overall sharpness. A fine bold composition too, to which the shopper, the bicycle and the dog add even more interest.
And a fine note about this street of restaurants. Did you visit the big food market in Cork? I think that would be a great place to see - and to photograph as well.
Fabulous!
Kind Regards,
John.

Rosemary, I never thought I'd see the words "Ireland" and "gourmet" together :)
I love the oranges and reds in the image, intensified by the POV you chose in order to show both the storefronts and the stars. Nice street scene with great clarity as well.

Hello Rosemary,
Wow - what colours! There are some super elements in this picture such as the man and his shopping walking down the street and the dog tied to the bicycle. Although the vivid colours are weighted to one side of the composition the red car does serve to give some balance.
Very well done.
Kind Regards, Ann
