Photographer's Note

"He no longer dreamed of storms, nor of women , nor of great occurrences, nor of great fish, nor fights, nor contests of strength, nor of his wife. He only dreamed of places now and of the lions on the beach. They played like young cats in the dusk and he loved them as he loved the boy." Ernest Hemingway- Old man and the sea, Cuba, 1952

Those words from the famous novel of Hemingway came into my mind when I saw this fisherman and his nets on a cold , rainy autumn evening in the lake of kastoria.

People often ask me why I do not post pictures from the country where I live. Greece is for me the country where I work and rarely I spend anymore time for holidays here. I was left to admire some of the amazing landscapes and sights of my homeland through the works and postings of many of you and never had the time to take some pictures of my own.
So in one of the very rare occasions I visited Kastoria, I had had the chance to take some pictures and feeling the numbness of a newcomer I post this picture for you.
