Photographer's Note
The Hungry Ghost Festival is a traditional Chinese festival and holiday celebrated by Chinese in many countries. In the Chinese calendar the Hungry Ghost Festival is on the 15th night of the seventh lunar month, usually in the month of August.
Also the Chinese in Singapore observe this tradition of paying respects to the dead. The fellow believers congregate to burn incense sticks and present their offerings in the form of prayer, fruit such as oranges, food such as roasted suckling pig, bowls of rice and occasionally a local Chinese cake made especially for the occasion.
The festival is so widely-practiced here that special joss paper bins have been set up for believers to burn their paper money in, believed to translate into great fortune in the afterlife. Small altars can also be seen outside many homes, both on private property and in public housing areas.

Hello Miro, I like this colorful night action photo. The light is very good and the smoke in the background makes it even more interesting.

Hi Miro,
You're capturing well this scene by a good angle and excellent tone, so it's interesting and impressive to see the the spectacle of chinese traditional custom/festival in which people burn incense sticks and present the food for dead ancestor. It looks like the heavy-handed display common to Asians which has rooted deeply in the view of life and death, and the gratitude to an ancestor. It's also impressive in seeing this at roadside in blue hour.
Kind regards,
mikio
