BALI ARTS FESTIVAL #3 - PERSPECTIVE

Starting from last week, I've posted some photos that I took on 17 june 2006, during the openning of a cultural event in Denpasar, Bali : BALI ART FESTIVAL, which was held at Renon, around the museum bajra sandhi.

I took this photo when the participants of this parade were waiting for their turn to performed at the stage, in front of Mr President.

The Bali Arts Festival is a full month of daily performances, handicraft exhibitions and other related cultural and commercial activities during which literally the whole of Bali comes to the city to present its offerings of dance, music and beauty. On display are trances from remote mountain slopes, forgotten or recently revived village dances, food and offering contests, classical palace dances, stars of Balinese stage, odd musical performances, "kreasi baru" (new creations) from the dance schools of Denpasar, as well as contemporary choreography and dance companies from other islands and from abroad.

Nice repetitive pattern formed by the pretty ladies standing there. Did you take this in B/W or converted it in PS? If the original one is colour then I would have liked to post the colour one instead of the B/W version as that would match the festive mood more correctly. TFS.

Yoga,
Parade of beautiful girls.. Creating repetation of subject. Brave choice go with B/W even the orignal colors will be more impressive & vivid to go with.
Sharp focus.

Hi Yoga, though I would be interested in seeing the colours of their costumes, I think the b&w accentuates the repetition which is nice. Nice POV, and the second dancer is even glancing towards you just at that moment :)

I like this picture. Properly composed, very good POV. Interesting that you've converted it into B&W, most of such kind of pictures from Bali are in colour.

Another beautiful pcture of this festival, Yoga. I like the focus and the blur on the other site. The b+w is very nice for this and shows that it is out of time.

"The Bali Arts Festival" - wow, sounds like a great event. Great view of these beautiful women in parade. Can imagine it would also look fantastic in colours. Actually I think it's a pity you didn't upload it in colours - maybe you would like to upload it in WS?

I'll be coming to Bali at the end of October for 2 months - hope you want to go photo shooting with me.
