Tea picker in Africa, a photo from Ouest, West

Photographer's Note

The picture was shot some 15 years ago in Rwanda (first quarter 2001) in the Tea plantation of Shagasha, South-West of Kigali, the country's capital.

Created in 1963, the factory has been privatised in 2012.

Equipment used:
• Body: Nikon F401
• Lens: Sigma 70 – 300 mm

I exhumed some of my files (negatives) and had them scanned.

Given the age of the negatives and state of conservations I hade to modify the picture.

I contrasted, sharpened the picture and enhanced a bit the colours.

Salut Serge,un tres joli souvenir depuis ton voyage il y a 15 ans,excellent travail de digitalisation aussi si il y a un peu de bruit,magnifique l'expression du visage,une scene que j'ai vu en Sri Lanka dans les plantagions du the moi aussi....belle journee' et merci,Luciano
