lots of wonderful detail here. A perfect crop that accentuates the patterning of the wood but also makes the beautiful brass knocker the star. A flawless execution and presentation.

Ik ben er van overtuigt dat we de deur helderder zien op uw foto dan in werkelijkheid.
Man zo mooi scherp zonder sporen van overdrevenheid.
Waar zijn onze mensen die dit snijwerk nog aankunnen, wordt bijna niet meer aangeleerd, en is ook niet meer betaalbaar.
Ook de koper of messing klopper, is prachtig gemaakt en uw foto is gewoon schitterend.
Mooi foto werk, bedankt.

Bonjour Christian,

Sometimes the most beauty is contained within the smallest of areas, much like the saying "The devil is in the details." Great idea to concentrate on this isolated section of the door, bringing out the finest of texture and intrigue. The design looks much like a maze, I keep finding myself trying to search a way out. :) Beautiful light exposure to capture every ridge and dimension, and the reflective surface of the knocker has added a subtle touch of additional effect. Superb closeup work and this is always an interesting subject matter to shoot, finely sculptured wood and knocker made to last! The delicate detail with plenty of surface characteristics, the deep colours and wood grains really make the photo stand out. Well observed and a lovely subject just waiting to be photographed. Ta composition est trиs bien rйalisйe.Avec le jeu de lumiиre sur le vernis de la porte,qui en rйvиle chaque dйtails.Un bel effet de texture.La finesse du travail sur le heurtoir est bien mis en valeur.

one of the things i enjoy most about traveling to europe or africa is seeing all the unique door knockers.
We just dont have these here in Canada.
