The ghost of Sennedjem, a photo from Luxor, Inland

Photographer's Note

It was our last day in Luxor, and our guide took as to the valley of the Queens, near the Hachepsut temple, and from there to the valley of the workers and artists. One of the most famous masters was Sennedjem, and when he died the Pharaoh ordered a beautiful tomb to honor him.Indeed the interior with colorful frescoes , although not as striking as Nefertari's tomb, is absolutely worth a stop during a visit in Luxor. Photography ? Forget about it, the Egyptians are very keen about prohibiting photography inside tombs because like most museums around the world they believe that the flash ( Even by accident) spoils the colors . So flash or no flash tombs are "Off limits" for photographers. But in this case I was way up, and about to get out after a long and difficult climb up the stairs. The attendant was waiting from the group to come out, and because I thought there there might be a photo somewhere, I was ready. I used a slow flash in order to enhance a bit the stairs, which otherwise would come out very dark.
