yes, ofcourse ,women can travel alone in Iran,but it depends on "the way of travelling"&"the places one chooses".
and also it depends on the fact that this woman is an iranian or a tourist who can just speak her language & not Farsi.so we have 4 options:

1.Iranian woman alone:traveling alone for work or studying to aother city happens so much.it's not difficult.about the security, I think there is a situation that all women in the whole world pay attention to one rule:not to act in a way to make possible the danger of losing their security.
2.iranian women together:it's a holiday trip, usually is done with the family.
3.tourist woman :she is alone, can with few people during her trip,& mayB thoose people can't guide her the way she needs.she feels bored.maybe sb fool her.better have a guide/leader.
4.tourist women :yes, surely they have lots of fun.so many places to see together.if you have a groupe of friends, don't miss your chance.
