Impressive these umbrella's indeed, although you have to be careful with there leaves because they can sting quite nasty.
We call them Berenklauw ( claw of a bear) and I thought you called them hogweed and that the Americans used the parsnip name.

Default To Gerrit: Cow Parsley v Giant Hogweed

Thank you for your critique, Gerrit and for raising the problem of Giant Hogweed.

The flower in my photograph is definitely cow parsley. It is very similar to giant hogweed but the size of the stems, and the flowers is different. Cow parsley is benign, giant hogweed is extremely dangerous and has to be reported if found. It can.
If you look at <A HREF=""> hogweed/ cow parsley </A> it is very interesting.
