Terrific photo! I had seen such clouds twice before. Once it was in Canada, while driving from Toronto towards north to Algonquin National Park. The second time was in northern California-Nevada border in the high desert country. Unfortunately I could not take photos on either of those times as I did not have film in my camera. I don't know how they form, but I suspect that aircraft contrails might be involved. In both of those places I had seen military jets flying low.

Bonjour Pierrot,
Merci pour le commentaire. La focale utilisée, je n'en sais plus rien. J'utilise souvent un zoom 28-85 et je dirais que pour cette photo je devais être un peu en dessous de 50 mm. Non, je n'ai pas utilisé de pied, la lumière était suffisante. Bonnes photos, Pierre.
