Default To sittipong: Aurora

Hi Sittipong, auroras are created when charged particles from the solar wind (mostly protons) collide with the magnetic field of the Earth. They appear when the amount of particles and the velocities in the solar wind are high enough, but don't have any considerable effect on our weather. Nevertheless, a strong solar flare could have negative effects on human infrastructure, such as satellites or power lines on Earth. Regards,
