Hello Paul,
You're capturing well this galerie by a good composition and excellent tone, so it's impressive and interesting to see typical U.S style's shopping mall as there is building of low layer floor around the courtyard. It's impressive that each shops are colorful and the design of second floor is unique, too.
And, the reflection of light projected to the courtyard draws out a good effect for the whole.

To kato: hello Mikio
I don't think I will ever have the opportunity to see the real Venice, and so to see a fake one as a tourist with camera in hand was the next best thing. I am uncertain about what kind of coating they put on the stone floor, but it certainly did shine enough to make me stop for this shot. The ceiling is also a fake blue which gives the illusion of open sky above. All to impress the tourists I am sure. Thanks for visiting Mikio.
