A fine perspective shot with your new camera. The lighting is marvellous and exposure is spot on. Are you having fun with the D300?
Best wishes

Well hello stranger!
I've taken loads of shots with my D300 and am enjoying it. I need to experiment with low light some more as the reduced noise with high ISO is a good feature. The active D-lighting in camera is also good but you have to watch for extreme contrast on edges or you get halos. I don't remember reading anything about a faster sensor and wouldn't understand the technicalities if I had, but you seem to get faster speeds with smaller apertures with the same ISO as the D200 for some reason. Technologically does that make sense or am I imagining it? Take care Kath |

That does make sense and I think I've read something similar in reviews. What package are you using to process from RAW? I've tried NX capture but can't get used to it. My workflow somehow seemed slower than with Capture 4. I suppose it's all about what you're used to.
Been overworked recently and have found it hard to find time to critique. I do visit your website every now and again to see if you've posted anything new there. Hope you're well. Will have to catch up properly via email at some point. Mark |

Being over-worked - sounds familiar! Remember you work to live not the other way round!
I have tried hard with Capture NX especially with the control points that have rave reviews, but I still seem to get better results with the RAW converter in PS. It's probably just that I can't get away with it. Kath |
