Before coming and stamping my comment here, I took the liberty to browse your other works. Frankly, anyone shooting with her heart and mind of what she is seeing passionately, you can't go wrong expressing what you are seeing. Panning this young cyclist as he is crossing the road shows your creative mind in depicting his movement, thoughtfully.

This is good Sham. The outline of the islands neighboring on the way to Maiga Island, with the cerulean or azure green sea along the way, with a view of its sea bed of lively corals and marine lives.

Looks much better or more creative than some covered bridges elsewhere. I like scene such as this: rural, bucolic with the signature green of rice field. As photo also paints a thousand words, the photographer's words actually count for much and definitive.

Hi Urs,
I like very much editorial related photos. It tells how thing is elsewhere and unlike the "I was here" photo which is generally the " shoot & go" theme of guided tourists. This is a thoughtful composition exposing the winged friends milling around leftovers offered by the temple's devotees.

They posed or not, I wouldn't want to go face off with any of them. Their sarongs really in contrast with their black uniforms but most of all, they have all the sweetest of smiles.

This lane looks familiar. Sugarcane countryside with its rolling low hills delineated with working lanes and checkered lots. I didn't feel I was in a Malay state when I was there then.

I wouldn't have known this photo was taken by a PHD camera. Detail and colors is good and most like,a Dslr would have produce the same result. I am guessing, sooner than later, you might even upgrade your current P&S to a better version yes :)

Salam my dear friend, this a bucolic scene and pretty closely related to the wide green rice vista of Kodiang. I believe the green is the dominating colors of Kedah and Perlis by this time. I also like the two motorbikes parking side by side. Personally, Kedah is home to the breakneck bikeracers burning rubbers on some city streets.

Not being an Australian, I would not have known what it refers to when someone said anything about the coathanger behind the Opera House. The polarizer worked well saturating the colors of this work. It even give a graduation of the blue sky.
By the way, thank you for working on my Takob Akob Waterfalls. Your edition looks better than mine.

Assalammualaikum Foozi,
There's a Zen feel about this work of yours my dear friend. It must be the light brown color as the background with the 2 Bulbuls standing like sentinels in front and below the jasmine. I also like very much the dark fencing/wall detail where the two Bulbuls are perching on.

I'm hoping by the end of March, I would have more time going through your works and Jusni's as it has been quite a while since then.

It has been quite sometimes since we crossed comments & critiques. Have been working on my Facebook lately. With this fall view of yours, guess we pretty much have the same "fall" of our own on account of our rubber plantations. It is like suddenly, all those dormant colors just bursting from its green cocoons.
Frankly, with our country has so much trees, it would probably be more heady compared to other temperate countries in autumn.

Thank you Chanjit. My Internet connection isn't so good at this remote area to update my TE gallery.

Two things are going for this work of yours Chanjit. The blue cyan sky with the clouds and especially the reflection of the coconut palms give this pastoral scene, that Asian feel. Comparatively, getting sunrise is a little bit more work than sunset.

It has been a while since I last update my gallery. And I'm probably the last person and the latest to greet you new year. Still...wishing you better and brighter as well as healthier days Latiff.

You have, almost a Gothic impression of the Solaris with this dark and foreboding atmosphere and I can see how your new gear has gotten it. Have been thinking of upgrading to full frame until sometimes in April. I hope the tripod serves you well too.

Hmmm...lovely work you have here Adam. It's good shooting a beautiful scenery in from of you, and with a obedient gear. I can also understand why you need to shoot this at that speed. In your place, I would have done the same.

I'm glad you found something useful in my notes Adam and telling me that. I know a lot of photographers only believed in contributing and much less in getting "points". Just like you too my friend.

Dear Andrew,
Your title for this photo is...melancholically thoughtful. And just about decisive as well. Seeing the old lady and the way she holds herself with a contrasting mother and her child in the near background, takes away the feel of this touristic location.

I always believe and hold that photo is about how one feels when one sees a scene unroll itself. For composition is really the frame of one's mind. You got it made here Andrew.

As for people leaving nothing on my photos, that's ok really. If one's contributes, one should not expect much in return. Furthermore, it's partly my fault for not having much time to go around and socialize nowadays. Even though Trekearth & Treklens is about photography, it has become something of a social network.

One day my friend, you will find the sun wouldn't be so strong to suggest itself within this mystical/biblical scene. Just keep looking. And make sure your camera is loaded :) I know a close friend who was so "gerigitan" to put back his SD card into his Nikon the night before. And before him, was a beautiful sunset with the setting sun, throwing tantrum of colors imaginable.

Hi Michal,
It has been a while since I last posted and when I do, it's usually after an assignment where I have the time to post, write and comment/critique.

Thank you Michal that you found my works of the Sea Bajau, drawing enough for you to come here and study them. It was a surreal experience to myself too when I first came across them years ago. And staying with them over the years to document their livelihood and way of life was an eye opener.

I liked what you have taken here. I too would have done the same like you did. While getting the shelter is very objective at any time, the lady with her baby on the sampan is the strongest feature of your work here. This makes your work, thoughtful beside educational to others. It shows that you are a thinking photographer and not just a seeing one. Better photographers always teach or show and tell.
