Very nice capture. Lighting was great, you also framed the shot very well, the bird also added a lot to the picture.

I like the details in the foreground, the clouds on the far end also add a lot of drama to the picture, very nicely taken! Yes, it feels like we had almost the same route around the South Island :-)

fantastic lighting, we visited almost all these same places:-) We did kayaking there, it was quite cold and bumpy all the way, didn't even want to try taking my camera out, but, the view was fantastic.

Very beautiful place! I saw a few other pictures of this place over on Flickr the other day, now yours as well, I guess I didn't do enough home work and didn't even know this photo stop when I was in NZ, need another trip there.

Well done, Yves! This is one of the most beautiful lakes in NZ, the only problem I found was the parking lot by the chapel of good shepherd, it pretty much ruinned the whole scene. With so many tourists visiting the place, I personally prefer Pukaki better than Tekapo, but, the lake itself is really beautiful!

Very nice photo, Yves! The details on the close by stones, the formations and the Mt Cook in the far scene are all nicely captured. I was about 3 weeks behind you in visiting the place, your picture brought back great memories about the place, Hooker Valley is definitely a must go when one visits the area.

Very nice picture, well captured. I have been to the Rockies twice, both times were in August. I have a shot taken at almost the same spot as where you took this one, only difference is I had a lush of green instead of this winter wonderland. I will post mine later on. My wife and I both love the Rockies area, one of the wishes we had, while we visited the area last time, was to rent an apartment there for a year and take picture of the area for all four seasons. Certainly this will only be doable after I retire :-)
