Думаю, что Международный день памятников и исторических мест, который отмечается сегодня, 18 апреля, является знаменательной датой для многих посетителей этого сайта.

Международный день памятников и исторических мест (День всемирного наследия) установлен в 1982-ом году Ассамблеей Международного совета по вопросам охраны памятников и достопримечательных мест (ИКОМОС) при ЮНЕСКО с целью привлечения внимания общественности к вопросам защиты и сохранения всемирного культурного наследия. Ежегодно ИКОМОС предлагает сосредоточить внимание на каком-то конкретном аспекте сохранения всемирного наследия. В этом году это – “Всемирное наследие и наука”. В 2008-ом году вопросом повышенного внимания было сохранение религиозных зданий и мест паломничества. Надеюсь, что мой сегодняшний снимок может быть расценен как вклад в эту тему.

На месте храма, изображенного на снимке, в 1700-ом году для монахов, которые жили в мужском монастыре, была построена небольшая деревянная церковь. В ней хранилась «явленная» икона Владимирской божьей матери. От этой иконы и получила название церковь. Через годы, когда церковь начала разрушаться от времени, Харьковская епархия добилась, чтобы в 1859-ом году построили новый каменный храм. Колокольню достроили позже. Церковь была действующей до 1934-го года. А потом, до 80-х годов, была в плачевном состоянии. И только в 1987-ом году она была отреставрирована.

На місці храму, зображеного на знімку, у 1700-му році для ченців, які жили в чоловічому монастирі, була побудована невелика дерев'яна церква. У ній зберігалася «явлена» ікона Володимирської божої матері. Від цієї ікони й одержала назву церква. Через роки, коли церква почала руйнуватися від часу, Харківська єпархія домоглася, щоб у 1859-му році побудували новий кам'яний храм. Дзвіницю добудували пізніше. Церква була діючої до 1934-го року. А потім, до 80-х років, була в жалюгідному стані. І тільки у 1987-му році вона була відреставрована.

All these beautiful Ukrainian churches you are showing us on your gallery!
This one really looks magnificent as a bichrome against the blue sky! Very good POV with the light decoration of the tree on the right!
I believe you know papagolf21; well I don't know who created the term "papagolfade" for photos of beautiful French churches on TE, especially taken or shown on a Sunday!
I think the term "Sergiyade" could be created for the photos of beautiful Ukrainian churches!

The story of Our Lady of Vladimir Church is just unbelievable and you perfectly connected to The International Day for Monuments and Sites with an amazing photo.
