Photographer's Note

Hello Everyone,

This is a sculpture that was situated inside the gateway to Appleby Castle.

I have looked on the Internet and can find no reference or information about the sculpture. So I have called it 'Hail to the Sky' as that is what it appears to be saying to me.

The sculpture was easily lost against the black background of the trees so I kneeled to place the sculpture against the sky.
I also, added an amber filter.

In the w/s here I will show the sculpture complete and have included a figure for scale but for me, it doesn't look quite so arty!

I would be most interested if anyone can give me any information about the sculpture, Bev :-)

Thank you to Rob Zwemmer who is obviously a better detective than me and found this information about the sculpture -This steel figure of a person is dated 1971 and is by Charles Fraughan. It stands on the grounds of Appleby Castle.
