Photographer's Note

These girls are working on the plateau above Cuzco... many places in the world seem to preserve cultural dress / activities by catering to the tourists desire to see 'native peoples'. I see this in a positive light as it only serves to build confidence in their tradition as a valuable part of their life. Sometimes as photographers we really do have to think about the impact we cause in the world... it's impossible to leave no footprints, but I bet most of us try as hard as we can not to.
