Photographer's Note

Lagoa das Araras (Macaws' Lake) is a place of contemplation of nature, a lake full of buritis (a kind of palm tree) where we can see crowds of macaws, parrots, egrets and other birds flying back to their nests at the end of the day. The buriti, after dead, loses its crown and the trunk becomes hollow, perfect for the birds to build their nests.

The macaws were very far and the light was not so easy at this time, but in the workshop you can see a couple of blue-and-yellow-macaws on the trunk of a dead tree.
