Photographer's Note

Sapajus macrocephalus is part of the Cebidae family (South American primates) and Sapajus genus (capuchin-monkeys). They are found in Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. It inhabits tropical lowland forests.

The coloration varies from gray-brown to dark brown. There may be white borders on the face, such as the photo. In Brazil, the most common coloration is reddish-brown. It feeds on fruits, leaves and insects.
