Photographer's Note

At the historic Port Of Echuca the old paddlesteamer Alexander Arbuthnot rests after a day of hauling tourists up and down the Murray River. In the 19th and early 20th centuries these boats were used to transport wool, wheat and wood downstream to sea ports before the arival inland of the railways.
