Summer at Lake Michigan

In order not to post too many photos of the fascinating architecture in Chicago in a row, heres a picture taken near the shores of Lake Michigan. We were on our way to Navy Pier, which we didnt get to visit during our previous visit, and crossed the Chicago River near the Chicago Harbor Lock, which separates it from Lake Michigan. More and more vessels were gathering here waiting to get through the lock on this sunny Saturday. The building in the background is the Chicago Marine Safety Station.
