Photographer's Note

These are the remaining five elements that make up the total work by the Cree artist, Lloyd Pinay. The view, from the west, shows the charging bison heading, as it were, to the cliff. Once there, momentum would carry them over: and it is likely that death would be the result. Once the total number of animals have completed the journey, they will be carved up - meat, skin, horns - everything that can sustain the lives of the First Nations' peoples. This scenario is presented in front of the entrance to the Visitors' Centre at Wanuskewin. By the way, the six actors in this drama have been carved from bronze.
