Photographer's Note

I know that there are similar photos but I like this view. The facade of the famous Casa de las Conchas - House of Shells.

The House of Shells was constructed during the 15th century. The architecture includes Gothic, Moorish and Italian styles. In total, there are approximately 400 shells on the exterior of the building. They are the symbol of the Order of Saint James. Doctor Rodrigo Arias was the founder of the building and the chancellor of the order. The center of the building holds the traditional open courtyard common in Spain. Today, the House of Shells is the Public Library of Salamanca.
