Photographer's Note

Monte Gordo is a town in Algarve, near (3 km) the river Guadiana which forms a natural border with Spain. Formerly it was a quiet fishing village, since 1960s it became a holiday destination with many hotels and restaurants. Monte Gordo is known for wide sand beaches, warm water, dunes and surrounding pine forests.
I took this picture at low tide, the beach is then up to 100 m wide.
