Photographer's Note

Frombork is located on the Vistula lagoon in the north-eastern Poland.

The Vistula Lagoon is an inner marine water basin, shared by Poland and Russia. A small canal connecting the Vistula Lagoon with the Baltic Sea is in the Russian part of the Lagoon.
The Vistula Lagoon has an elongated shape with a length of 91 km and an average width of 9 km. It is a shallow coastal basin with the depth of 2.5 m.

The lagoon is separated from the Baltic by a narrow spit (only 1-2 km wide) on which there are numerous tourist resorts, the largest of which is Krynica Morska. Frombork and Krynica have only a direct connection by water tram or ferry.
