Great Royaldevon 2012-11-18 14:38

Hello Finlay,

I was so surprised to see you calling autumn 'Fall Time' which I only ever connect with people from U.S.A. or Canada, or is it a term in common use in Scotland?
That aside, this is a lovely shot. The colours of autumn are vividly beautiful. I like how you have positioned the focal tree nicely off-centre so that its amber leaves create a canopy over much of the b/g, and it helps to create a fine sense of depth.

Snow already! The seasons are no longer predictable!

My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Default To Royaldevon: Fall time

Hello Bev

Thanks for having a look and passing on some kind feedback on this shot.

You are right about terminology of the season. We would certainly always refer to it as autumn, but I decided to borrow my title from North America for this one as the shot was depicting a fall of snow as well as a fall of leaves. Not a particularly good pun I have to confess!!

Best Regards
Finlay
